Testing indoor air quality

How do I test my indoor air quality? Until now, this simple question had a complicated answer.

In order to fully test your home air quality, you need to consider multiple contaminants – not just mold, or radon, or lead, or VOCs. Unfortunately, most do-it-yourself tests available at local home improvement centers or online only test for ONE thing.

What if you want something comprehensive? In that case, maybe you hire an environmental testing company or a combination of experts to come into your home over the course of weeks. These options will cost you thousands of dollars and a lot of time to coordinate.

Indoor air testing is easier now.

With the yogi indoor air quality test , you can test your indoor air for 7 contaminants, along with lead and copper in your drinking water. This short video illustrates just how easy it is to test your air and water with our easy, color-coded test kit.

How the yogi works – the marriage of technology and testing

Our first-to-market yogi indoor air and water quality test kit is unique. Our technology, sampling media, labs, testing methods, and reporting and analysis make yogi the #1 choice in home environmental testing. Here's how it all comes together.

Our technology

The yogi sampling instrument is a multi-speed, variable flow rate device that features an intuitive, color-coded keypad, a patented adaptor and relief value, and a built-in automatic shut-off and alarm. This technology makes yogi the most comprehensive all-in-one air test kit on the market and the only product capable of testing both sorbent tubes and spore traps.

In addition, all sampling media manufacturers adhere to current good manufacturing practices for medical devices and diagnostic products CFR21, Part 820 and/or ASTM, NIOSH and OSHA requirements. Plus all media testing is certified on product-/log-specific certifications of analysis.

What does all that mean?

Basically, thanks to our patent-pending technology, you are now able to test for multiple air contaminants and toxins in one handy instrument that you can use again in the future. The yogi kit assesses for mold, allergens, lead, asbestos, VOCs, formaldehyde and radon, and also includes a drinking water test for lead and copper.

The process

The do-it-yourself collection of air samples is easy. Simply place the appropriate, color-coded sampling media into the yogi and push the corresponding button to initiate the process. Yogi does the rest! Upon completion of your air samples (plus radon and water done separately), send them off to the lab in the postage-paid package and you’ll receive results back in 10 business days of receipt. And don’t forget to store the reusable yogi for future use!

Our testing labs

Our labs adhere to industry standards, which means they are accredited by these organizations:

Our reports and results

Lab reports are generated by our accredited labs in compliance with standards set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), ASTM International and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, (NIOSH). Your results are interpreted by our Certified Industrial Hygienists, who are certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH), and compared to some of the most stringent personal exposure limits set by government regulatory agencies including the EPA, the World Health Organization (WHO) and NIOSH.
